Vicky Pryce is a leading economist working on UK, global and Eurozone issues. Having worked in senior positions in business and government, she is now Chief Economic Advisor at the respected Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR), where she is also a board member and Visiting Professor at BCU and King’s College, London. She considers both the economic situation, and the policy implications for business.

In his keynote at drupa 2024 he will help us understand that ‘There's a reason we call it “Cheap Talk”. Print costs more than pixels - and that's why it works so well!’ Rory Sutherland’s exciting and engaging keynote will help us understand why you wouldn't invite people to your wedding by email! It's all about the concept of costly signalling, and it comes from biology, but it also has a big bearing on advertising, design and packaging too. Quite simply the more money and effort you invest in communicating something, the more convincingly you get the message across. Rory will explain why print, in the digital age, is more important than ever.

MARK MASLIN

Mark Maslin BSc, PhD, FRGS, FRSA is a Professor of Earth System Science at UCL and the Natural History Museum of Denmark. He is a founding Director of the award winning Rezatec Limited. He’s a member of the Cheltenham Science Festival Advisory Board, a CSR Board member of Sopra-Steria, NetZeroNow and Sheep Included Ltd, and a member of the Climate Crisis Advisory Group. Mark’s keynote will examine the impact of climate change and what the future may hold. He will unpack the global and national politics at play and the necessity of NetZero emission targets. Most importantly, he will address the critical role that the corporate sector (particularly print) can play in developing the circular economy and being part of the long term sustainable global economy.
